EcoEternity Forest at Makemie Woods

Consecrated on Oct 5, 2008, this forest concept provides an affordable and eco-friendly "green" alternative to traditional burial. Cremated remains are buried at the dripline of a tree, and the nutrients of the ashes are absorbed into the tree, transforming it into a living memorial.
We have already enjoyed to showing our forest to families with ashes that they have kept, waiting for the "right" place to put them to rest. We also have had ecologically minded visitors who are preplanning their end-of-life terms by leasing a tree in advance, relieving family members of the cost and need to make these sometimes difficult decisions.
Proceeds from leasing the trees help preserve the forest in its natural state for at least 99 years into the future. For more information or to schedule a tour, visit the website www.ecoeternity.com or call toll free 888-435-1869.
