Here are some quick pictures captured by a cool gizmo called "Grab It" from my video camera. This is a rare view of Makemie Woods, and with any luck I'll add more pictures as I can make it further into the camp.
At the time these pictures were taken, only 8" of snow had fallen, but you can tell from the photo above that the storm was far from over. The final depth is about 15", though the drifts make it hard to tell. Praise God for blessing someone with the intelligence to invent 4-wheel drive.
Last time we had a storm like this, the New Kent County schools were closed for 2 weeks. I heard rumor that one of the county's two plows had fallen into a ravine, without much hope of retrieving it any time soon...
