For families who find themselves permanently or temporarily in a Single-Parent situation, welcome to a great family getaway, with the opportunity to make new friends, play games, dance, canoe, hike, swim, and rest in the serenity of the woods. Adult fellowship times and discussion will be led by a trained facilitator.

• COST: (see current brochure) Includes 2 nights + 5 meals. Some financial assistance available
• LEADERSHIP, lifeguards, counselors, etc. is made up of volunteers from the Makemie Woods summer staff and the Presbytery of Eastern Virginia.
• CHILDCARE will be provided for toddlers and pre-schoolers during the adult gatherings.

Tentative schedule:

• Friday night: Registration (7:00 PM), Big Group Recreation, Adult Fellowship Time
• Saturday AM: Kids enjoy camp while parents gather for fellowship
• Saturday Afternoon: Family time to choose swimming, boating, hiking, crafts, volleyball...
• Saturday Evening: Intergenerational fun, campfire, late night movie options
• Sunday morning: Planning for worship, communion service, then lunch and departure. Pool open until 1:00.
