We are entering the critical month of March!  By the end of March, the Presbytery Leadership and Witness Gift phases will have been completed.  It is essential that we hear from 100% of all Presbytery leadership as it sets the stage for overall campaign success.  We will also be finalizing Witness gifts so that our goal of announcing the results of the “quiet” phase of the campaign at the April Presbytery meeting can be met.  This will allow us to move into the Congregational Generosity phase of the campaign in early May with the necessary momentum. 

Kick-off Event for each church -- May 1!  Planning should have already begun for some kind of special event for each church.  Every CCM has received suggestions and materials for such an event.

Each household within our Presbytery will be receiving roots & wings information so that the campaign brochure and pledge card will be recognized when it is received in May.

• March 1 – The first postcard will be mailed to all households on the database announcing the roots & wings project.
  
• April 1 – The second postcard will be mailed to all households on the database.  This mailing sets the stage for the brochure and pledge card.
  
• May 1 – The campaign brochure with pledge card is received in all households.
  

Congregations should be building awareness for the roots & wings project so that when the Congregational Generosity phase begins in May, Presbyterians throughout our Presbytery will be anticipating the campaign. 

The following materials and suggestions have been provided to all churches:

• Bulletin inserts
• Minutes for Mission
• “imagine yourself” activities
• VHS roots & wings video (DVDs available upon request)
  
• Balloons, posters, banners, etc. for creating a "presence"
  
• Cups & napkins for May 1 kick-off events

Precious Lord, we praise your name and, as we enter this critical phase of the roots & wings campaign, we would ask for your special guidance in all we do.  The plan for roots & wings cannot succeed without your blessing.  It is with humble hearts that we pray that all that may be accomplished in the weeks and months to come will be to your glory and the furtherance of your kingdom.  In your Son’s holy name, we pray.  AMEN
