Camp Jordan Session Information
Beginner Explorers
(entering grades 3 - 5 September 2012)This two-night, 3-day session is a quick introduction to camp. Campers will have fun doing traditional camp activities such as campfire, swimming, boating and crafts, while making friends with other children who have diabetes. Elementary Explorers (entering grades 4 - 6 Sep. 2012)
Guided by two counselors for every 10 - 12 campers, this camp session is geared towards developing new friendships and skills through campfires, swimming, crafts, hiking and nature study. These campers will also be introduced to boating, cooking over an open fire, and other outdoor activities as they learn to live together and make decisions as a group.

Camp Jordan Pioneers (entering grades 7 - 10 September 2011)
Building on the increased abilities of Jr Hi's, this camp offers a more intensified experience in building outdoor skills, boating skills, nature studies and group building, including soaring over the Makemie Woods zip lines (weather permitting). These campers will have opportunities to explore who they want to become, with the leadership of two counselors for every 12 campers. Nine-day session Camp Fee: TBD
Canoe Adventure --(entering grades 9 - 10 September 2012)
Add to the fun of camp with a paddling adventure on a Virginia River. In addition to the activities listed above, campers will spend time developing necessary canoeing skills in preparation for a well-supervised, overnight river canoe trip (weather permitting). Campers must be able to swim 100 meters without stopping,. This group will be guided by two counselors and the waterfront instructor. Limited to 8 campers.
